Digital Story 2, Version 2

Thank you for all the great ideas. I believe I incorporated most of them. I added an additional frame at the beginning as an introdcution; I faded the video audio out so it's not quite so abrupt; I tried to annunciate "path" so it sounds like English (lol); and I changed the text and background color on the credits. It's funny, because on the original the credits are on a nice sea color with a sand colored text, but it doesn't appear that way on the web at all! The one suggestion I didn't incorporate was to put the translations on the screen- I didn't do that, but I did make sure the context of the narration was enough for it to make sense. I'm at the point where I'm fussing around with it, so I think that means I'm done- or I'll fuss forever. Thanks again, guys!

Digital Story 2, Version 1

Taking a break from my adoption theme! I just got back from Hawaii, where I was lucky enough to get to watch a ceremony where they release baby honu (Hawaiian green sea turtle... an endangered species) back into the wild after raising them from birth. Very cool!! I had fun with this, but I know it could still use some tweaking. And hopefully I didn't butcher the Hawaiian too badly... LOL. Your suggestions are welcome!

Digital Story 1, Version 2

I spent a lot of time thinking, adding, removing, adding again... in the end I only made one change- to add words on the screen at certain points during the story. I had such a hard time with making changes because I think the simplicity really worked, but I ended up keeping that in one part. I agreed with the comments/suggestions to add something for visual interest to the slides. After experimenting a lot, I felt the words worked best with the story to not distract. I left the ending as is because this is a piece of a larger project. I can see how if it were just this story it would be to abrupt. Thank you all for your comments- they helped me look at different elements I may not have seen myself.
